Lamont Cobb, Capital Projects Aide
As a Capital Projects Aide for Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Lamont supports the office in economic development policy, the implementation of capital projects, and land use and transportation-related issues.
Lamont received a B.A. in Urban Studies from Morehouse College and a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. He previously worked as a Neighborhood Planner for the D.C. Office of Planning, where he managed place-based projects and engagement around land use planning. He also worked as a Transportation Planner for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and as a Zoning Planner for Arlington, VA.
Lamont is a member of the American Planning Association, the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, and an alumni of The Policy Academies. He is also a Certified Public Manager from George Washington University's Regional Executive Development Program. Lamont is a third generation Angeleno, and enjoys travel, movies, and concerts in his free time.
